Trey Norris is a third-year dental student at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He serves as a Mission of Mercy Student Coordinator, helping to organize and run service projects throughout the state of Virginia. Trey earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. Having grown up in a small, rural community, he has developed a strong passion for serving underserved populations, which he hopes to continue throughout his dental career.
While at VCU, Trey has remained actively involved in numerous volunteer, community service, and student organizational activities. In addition to his role with Mission of Mercy, he serves as VCU’s American Student Dental Association President and Student Government President, as well as an Admissions Student Ambassador and an executive member of VCU’s Magical Moments Club and Osteotomes Club. He is also passionate about teaching and has participated in the ADEA Teaching Fellowship during his second and third years of dental school.
Trey has received the Army Health Professions Scholarship Program and will serve as a dentist in the United States Army following graduation.
In his free time, Trey enjoys pursuing outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and camping. He also values spending time with friends and family and participates in intramural basketball and flag football with his classmates.
